Brand is a very important aspect in choosing consumer products but equally important are quality,
price and beauty of the package. Therefore, package design is one of the most important aspects to
attract the customer to the product. Combipack brings about this aspect through leadership in product
packaging in South East Asia with innovative printing technology for production as follows:
Printing technology for tube decoration
Basic knowledge for plastic tube printing technology
UV Offset printing uses ink transfer from ink duck through many rollers until a fine ink film is formed. Ink is then transferred to graphic plate (polymer) and graphic plate will transfer ink to on to rubber ink die which is then printed on plastic tube and dried through UV light
Flexography is a type of printing technology that uses polymer sheet that has high flexibility as the ink die where the parts that will not absorb ink will be carved out. This printing technology is similar to letter press which uses pressure to print, but flexography will use more solvent ink and use specialized rollers to spread ink on the die. This technology has been developed to work with many colors
Silk Screen is a type of printing which pushes ink through silk or synthetic mesh to print on the plastic tube. The ink prinited will have a ink layer that can be felt which is different from other printing types. This is because more ink is used in this type of printing than other types and sillk screen printing will result in brighter colors so it is suitable for dark colored tubes or to cover up the actual product inside the plastic tubes.
